Armorial Achievement for Brady McNulty

Blazon:

Arms: Vert on a semé of Maltese Crosses Argent a Wolf rampant Argent armed and langued holding in the dexter forepaw an upright Baton Gules topped Or.

Crest: Upon a Torse Argent and Vert standing on a Grassy Mound within a Naval Coronet a Beagle Hound statant proper giving cry.

Motto: Lupus est Fidelis (The Wolf is Faithful)

Badge: On a Grassy Mound within a Ducal Coronet Or a Beagle statant proper giving cry.

Rationale:

Shield: The armiger is a lifelong animal lover, and the wolf represents the best qualities of a canine: fidelity, strength, and a desire to help. The vert background represents the armiger’s ancestral ties to Ireland. The seme of Maltese crosses shares two meanings: the armiger feels extremely honored to be a member of the Order of Saint John, a royal order of chivalry; the seme is similar to a field of stars, reflecting the armiger’s hope for humankind to unite in a mission to further explore space. The rod held by the wolf is reflective of the method of transfer of Manorial Lordships, as such transfers were traditionally performed “by the rod.” The armiger is the Lord of the Manor of Whiteoxen, in Devon.

Crest: The beagle is a favorite breed of the family, one such animal being notoriously difficult to train but otherwise very full of personality, perhaps like the armiger. The naval coronet refers to the armiger’s naval service, a continued tradition dating back generations. The armiger also serves as a uniformed volunteer in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.
